AUSTIN -- There's some good news about traffic in Austin.

The Texas Public Interest Group says Austin had one of the biggest decreases in the country when it comes to the percentage of commuters driving their own cars.

The number dropped 4.5 percent from 2000 to 2011.

Many former drivers now use public transportation, ride bikes or work from home.
