The Todd and Don Show will return to the Austin airwaves.

The call-in talk show was yanked from KLBJ-AM over the summer after co-host Don Pryor repeatedly used a derogatory term to refer to Hispanics.

Community leaders denounced the comments and threatened a boycott.

Station management suspended Pryor and co-host Todd Jeffries for two weeks and canceled the show.

On Tuesday, KLBJ-AM announced the program will return in December.

Station managers say the staff has undergone cultural sensitivity training and Hispanic community leaders were consulted prior to the decision to bring back the Todd and Don Show.

You know, I am about as "Barrio" as a Hispanic person can get and the term used by this guy dosen't offend me one bit. I was born in the United States, my mother and father were born in the United States, and lived in the barrio for years. The so-called derogatory remarks used by Pryor is used by most Hispanics who are U.S. citizens and living in the southwest to describe illegal aliens from Mexico and points south. I have heard Hispanics use other derogatory remarks besides the "W" word that would make Pryor look like an alter boy. So what is the fuss with the Hispanic community? If you are not an illegal alien, blow it off and don't make a big deal about it. Within the Hispanic community along with the White community we always refer to the Black community and how they can use the "N" word only among themselves. Does that mean that only a Hispanic can call another Hispanic the "W" word? Come on folks, shed that thin skin.
