BELL COUNTY, Texas -- A third person has been arrested for an attack and robbery which took place outside the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Austin last year.
Duvalle Sommerville II was arrested on Jan. 23 in Bell County and charged with aggravated robbery. He was transported to the Travis County Jail on Jan. 29. Jasmine Pena and Kynneth Anderson were previously arrested.
A woman visiting Austin with her husband was attacked and robbed outside the hotel on Nov. 2.
"A guy just popped up out of nowhere, grabbed her purse, punched her in the neck and took off," said Austin Police Department Robbery Unit Detective David Gann at the time.
"It knocked her off her feet and she came down and hit her head and it knocked her out. And she suffered a concussion, bruise on her brain. And the main most traumatic thing, if that's not bad enough, the blow. The punch to her neck caused her carotid artery to collapse," said Bill.
The victim spent four days in an Austin hospital before she was allowed to go home.
Sommerville's bond has been set at $30,000.
