This spring Austin will host its inaugural Austin Food and Wine Festival, and tickets go on sale Tuesday.
The festival, hosted by Food and Wine Magazine, features more than 40 events including demonstrations, tastings and live music.
Austin Food and Wine Festival's Lindsay Hoffman described the event as being a weekend long celebration of food, wine, cocktails and music.
Austin's festival will include hands on demonstrations, which is unique to this festival. Along with the demos, there will be plenty of tastings.
The event also features local and celebrity chefs, including Morimoto, Andrew Zimmern, Marcus Samuelsson and Gail Simmons.
"Austin is probably one of the most dynamic food scenes in the country, and we have live music in our blood," Hoffman said. "People love to come to Austin and experience our culture. It's a winning combination."
The Food and Wine Festival is a three-day event, starting April 27.
