Texas veteran exhibit opens at Capitol

AUSTIN -- The Veterans Land Board's (VLB) exhibit, "Voices of Veterans" is now on display at the Capitol Visitors Center.

The multimedia exhibit features Texans who fought in any war, providing an opportunity for the public to "meet" the Texas heroes.

According to their website, the VLB Voices of Veterans program "was created to capture oral histories of Texas veterans from all eras of combat, World War II to Afghanistan."

The site goes on to explain that the goal of the exhibit is to provide a lasting legacy for historians, friends and family members, and to honor and remember the sacrifices of all Texas veterans.

The exhibit is free to an Texas veteran.

The Capitol Visitors Center is located on the Capitol grounds at 112 E. 11th St. in Austin.
