SUNSET VALLEY, Texas -- Sunset Valley police released dash cam video of a high water rescue on Monday.

Weekend storms trapped two people in their car on Sunday around 12:40 a.m. on Lone Oak Trail, near Highway 71 and Brodie Lane.

The water was so high they could not get the doors open. Police had to break through a window to free them.

Officers went door to door through surrounding neighborhoods calling for evacuations.

Residents whose homes were flooded spent Columbus Day ripping out carpet and pulling up flooring.

One homeowner found his boat in a neighbor's yard after Williamson creek filled his backyard with five feet of water.

The ground is saturated. With more rain in the forecast, residents fear storms on Tuesday could set off more floods.

While residents get ready for round two, police are warning drivers to stay out of flooded areas, no matter how well they know the roads.
