AUSTIN -- St. David's Episcopal Church will celebrate the Hispanic culture and Christmas season on Saturday Dec. 8 with its second annual Posada.
Church members will re-enact the Posada, which commemorates Joseph and Mary's journey to Bethlehem in search of shelter before the birth of Jesus.
The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. It will begin at 6 p.m on the Labyrinth at St. David’s, 301 East 8th Street, between Trinity and San Jacinto Streets.
The Posada will include a procession that will make its way through the church and end at Edens Center, followed by refreshments, Christmas carols and the breaking of a piñata.
