GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Southwestern University in Georgetown has named its new president.
Dr. Edward Burger will take over after current President Jake Schrum retires July 1.
Burger, a native of New York state, received the Robert Foster Cherry Award for great teaching from Baylor University and was among the people the Huffington Post named to its list of "game changers" in 2010.
