ROUND ROCK, Texas -- A soldier from Round Rock who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom was killed over the weekend.
Cpl. Paul A. Rivera, 26, died Saturday, Oct. 22 in Logar province, Afghanistan. According to the Department of Defense, he died of injuries suffered in a vehicle rollover during an attack by enemy forces.
He was assigned to the 709th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Hohenfels, Germany.
Cpl. Rivera attended Stony Point High School in Round Rock.
