AUSTIN -- A sitting judge took the place of Ken Anderson Monday in Williamson County. Anderson was not at work following his arrest and release on bail Friday.

Ken Anderson faces three felony charges, including concealing evidence. Anderson was the district attorney who prosecuted Michael Morton in 1987.

Morton spent 25 years in prison before DNA evidence proved his innocence. Anderson's attorney plans to challenge Friday's ruling.

It has not yet been determined when that hearing will take place.

KVUE News was told that Anderson had scheduled Monday off in advance.
