Poll:
Do you think Sarah Palin is a viable presidential candidate for the future?
Sarah Palin -- a polarizing political figure, former Alaskan governor and vice presidential candidate -- will be in Austin Thursday night talking about family values at the Austin Convention Center.
Dubbed "An Evening with Sarah Palin," tickets aren't cheap. They will cost you $50 to $100.
“She's very passionate about the life issue and she really has some life issues with this issue because of her son Trig who has Down Syndrome and also her daughter who had a child out of wedlock,” said Kimberly Guidry Speirs, Heroic Media.
Palin will be speaking at Heroic Media's main fundraising event. Heroic Media is a faith-based non-profit aimed at helping women in crisis pregnancies learn about alternatives to abortion through television, billboard and Internet advertising.
“We do encourage woman to choose life,” said Guidry Speirs.
While Sarah Palin will be speaking at the Convention Center at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the Travis County Democratic Party will be holding its own fundraiser at Serranos at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
“We’re calling it and evening without Sarah Palin,” said Andy Brown Travis County Democratic Party Chair. “It did come up whether we should try and somehow protest her event, but we thought that wasn't constructive. We thought we would hold our own event and show that Travis County values really are on side of pro-choice."
Brown said the money raised will help elect pro-choice democratic candidates.
If you would like to see Sarah Palin, tickets are still available just go to www.heroicmedia.org.
