AUSTIN -- There was some positive news Friday about the local economy.
According to the Austin Board of Realtors, home sales hit a six-year high last month.
More than 1,800 single family homes sold in December. That's up 17 percent from December 2011.
The median price was $210,000 -- an 11 percent boost.
It took an average of 71 days for those homes to sell, which is 18 days fewer than a year ago.
