AUSTIN -- A SWAT standoff has ended peacefully.
Residents called police to an apartment complex in Southeast Austin around 11 p.m. Tuesday, saying they saw a man walking around with a sword.
When officers arrived they found the man locked inside an apartment, claiming to have a weapon. Police called the APD SWAT team, and the surrounding apartments were evacuated.
Around 1:30 a.m. the man surrendered to police.
