CENTRAL EAST AUSTIN -- Austin Police are investigating a rollover accident in Central East Austin this morning.

Austin Police officials say at 10:15 a.m., an 18-wheeler clipped an SUV on the N I-35 Northbound service road at 38th 1/2 Street, sending it rolling into a tree.

Officials say the SUV was following another car on the service road when the car in front pulled in front of the semi-truck, then exited the service road.

The driver of the SUV also attempted to pull in front of the semi-truck and exit. That's when the 18-wheeler clipped the SUV, causing it to roll over and strike a tree.

Two people in the SUV received non-life threatening injuries and were removed from the vehicle. The semi-truck did pull over until police arrived.
