AUSTIN -- As family and friends gather to pray for a man shot by two people in Central East Austin, police release new surveillance video in hopes someone will recognize the attackers.

According to Austin police, two men approached another man who was working on his vehicle at 1008 Reinli St. on Saturday.

Police say the suspects demanded money, shot the victim multiple times and got away in another vehicle.

The first suspect is described as a 5’ 11” black male with a thin build in his 20’s. He has a short fade haircut and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and dark shorts.
The second suspect is described as a 5’ 1” to 5’ 3” black male with a stocky build in his 20’s. He has shoulder length braids or dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and dark shorts.

Police are looking for a mid-2000’s, 4-door silver or grey sedan, possibly with paper plates.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Austin Police Department’s robbery unit at 512-974-5270.
