A police motorcycle officer crashes into van in Central Austin.
It happened around 12:45 Friday afternoon. The officer was driving westbound on 51st when a van travelling northbound on Harmon Avenue pulled into the intersection to turn right onto 51st. Investigators say that is when the officer struck the back of the van.
The officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the van is ok.
Police cited the driver for failing to yield the right-of-away.
