Police looking for suspect in Wells Fargo armed robbery

Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating a robbery suspect accused of robbing a Wells Fargo Bank on 877 Loops 337 in New Braunfels Thursday morning.

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -- Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating a robbery suspect accused of robbing a Wells Fargo Bank on 877 Loops 337 in New Braunfels Thursday morning.

The suspect is described as a black man approximately 5’3” to 5’7” tall dressed in all black and possibly wearing a wig and sunglasses. The suspect is believed to be 25-35 years of age.

According to the New Braunfels Police Department press release, police responded to a call around 11 a.m. regarding an armed robbery at the bank.

Witness said a black man dressed in dark woman's clothing and a wig and sunglasses entered the bank, displayed a weapon and demanded money.

The suspect left the area on foot, with an unknown amount of money. No vehicle was seen in the area.

No one was injured in the armed robbery.

This suspect is believed to be responsible for a series of bank robberies in Texas, including banks in Hillsboro (Wells Fargo) on 09/28/2012, Denton (Wells Fargo) on 10/29/2012, and New Braunfels (Security Services Federal Credit Union) on 11/30/2012.
