AUSTIN -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect in a sexual assault case.

The incident took place early Monday morning near Barton Skyway in South Austin.

The victim was given a ride from the 200 block of 4th Street, near Lavaca Street, but was taken to an unoccupied apartment off Barton Skyway, where the suspect sexually assaulted the victim at gunpoint.

The suspect is described as a heavy set Hispanic man in his 30s. He is between 5'6" and 5'8" and weighs around 190 pounds. He has brown eyes, and very thin, manicured eyebrows. His hair is black and closely cut.

The suspect was driving a dark grey 2008 or newer Toyota Sequoia with a tow package and chrome accents.

APD said the picture below is possibly the suspect's vehicle at 4th Street and Lavaca.

The suspect was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap with an orange colored underside bill.
