Austin police look for injury to child suspect

AUSTIN -- Austin police are looking for a man who injured a child.

APD received information Monday that a child was followed by a black man in a red Cadillac Escalade SUV. The child received minor injuries when the suspect attempted to pull her into the SUV.  The victim was able to get away. 
 
The suspect is described as a black man in his mid to late 30s. He is 5'8" and around 200 pounds. He has dark, shoulder-length hair in dreadlocks. His hair was pulled into a ponytail. He also has numerous tattoos on his right arm.

The suspect was last seen wearing a red shirt and tan pants. He was driving a newer model, four-door, red Cadillac Escalade SUV with black rims and paper temporary tags.

Anyone with information about this incident, the identity of the suspect, and/or information about the suspect vehicle is asked Crime Stoppers at (512) 472-TIPS or text “Tip 103” + your message to CRIMES.
