Pioneer Bank Robbery
SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Pioneer Bank on 102 Wonder World Drive.
It happened just before 11 Monday morning. Police said the suspect entered the bank lobby, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the teller.
The suspect was last seen walking north on the sidewalk outside the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6"0' to 6’2” wearing a hoodie sweatshirt, jeans and something covering the lower part of his face.
This was the first bank robbery in San Marcos in more than a year. There were no bank robberies in San Marcos in 2012. The last incident happened in August 2011 at Compass Bank. The suspect in that robbery was later arrested and charged with this robbery along with others in surrounding communities.
