Suspicious death in South Austin
AUSTIN -- Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man in South Austin Wednesday night.
A woman was transported to University Medical Center in Brackenridge to be treated for a stab wound. She sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Police said they responded to a disturbance call at 11104 Chatam Berry Lane around 6 p.m. The female caller told police a person attempted to kill her son.
A juvenile male at the scene told officers a man stabbed his mother, and then fell and impaled himself on the knife.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they are treating the investigation as a suspicious death.
