AUSTIN -- A Crime Stoppers tip helped Austin police solve a murder case from Texas Relays weekend.

Now detectives are looking for the accused gunman -- 21-year-old Derrick Leroy Kuykendall.

Investigators say he fatally shot 23-year-old Bennie Heslip in the chest in the early morning hours of March 31.

Someone called in an anonymous tip on Saturday April 13.

Heslip died in a downtown Austin parking lot at East 11th Street and Trinity Street.

According to an arrest warrant, Kuykendall lives in Killeen. He is charged with murder -- a first degree felony. He is not in custody.
