AUSTIN -- A special event at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum on Wednesday night celebrated an Austin charity's tenth anniversary.
Partnerships for Children helps kids who are in the care of Child Protective Services. The charity provides resources for caseworkers in addition to what the state provides. On Wednesday night, the group's executive director, Kori Gough, announced a new program.
"Tonight, [it's] exciting. We're announcing the newest program of Partnerships for Children, the Heart Gallery," Gough said. "This is a traveling gallery of photos for children up for adoption that are kind of considered forgotten children, [including] older kids, sibling groups or kids with special needs."
More than 50 photographers donated their time and equipment to take pictures and support the program.
