AUSTIN -- A judge has granted defense lawyers' request to delay a Williamson County capital murder trial.
Mark Norwood is accused of the 1986 murder of Christine Morton.
Norwood's lawyers are trying to find a new DNA expert. They sought a delay after their original DNA expert told them they needed to find someone else.
Norwood's trial was set to begin Jan. 7 in San Angelo.
A new date has not yet been set.
