NEW BRAUNFELS -- Police are investigating a suspicious death of a 27-year-old woman in New Braunfels Tuesday.
Police have identified the woman as Melissa Eason.
According to a press release from the New Braunfels Police Department, police responded to a welfare call in the 200 block of E. Merriweather Street around 2:02 p.m.
Officers arrived to find the woman dead inside the residence.
The events and circumstances surrounding the death are unknown and are under investigation.
Police said the investigation is in the premature stages and is being classified as a suspicious death as the investigation continues.
