EAST AUSTIN -- Mueller Lake Park -- just three miles from downtown Austin -- is a popular place for running, biking and kayaking. Sunday marked the first day for trout fishing.
Fishing enthusiasts flocked to the park in Central East Austin to be the first to cast a line in the lake.
Texas Parks and Wildlife stocked the lake with about 12-hundred rainbow trout that can be caught, kept and cooked.
Despite the chilly temperatures, people were excited.
