AUSTIN -- A big fundraiser coming up will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The 2013 Austin Light the Night Walk will be held on Nov. 9 at Lake Park at Mueller. Those who want to participate in the 12th year of the event can register here.

LLS focuses its efforts on funding cures for blood cancers since there is no screening or prevention for them.

Participants will receive their own website and are encouraged to raise money for the cause. If more than $100 is raised by a person, they will be named Champion for Cures. That title gets you a t-shirt, illuminated balloon and a wristband for food at the November event.

Taco Bell has teamed up again with LLS. The restaurant will be selling paper balloons at its Austin locations through Nov. 9 to help raise money for the cause.
