AUSTIN -- Lance Armstrong is asking a Federal judge to dismiss the justice department's lawsuit against him. In part, because he says the postal service got what it paid for.
The United States Postal Service paid about $40-million dollars to sponsor Armstrong's Tour de France team.
After he confessed to doping, the government sued for triple that amount.
In a filng Tuesday, Armstrong's lawyers argue the statute of limitations on that claim has expired.
They say the postal service still got tens of millions of dollars in publicity.
