A prominent couple in Lago Vista is violently attacked in their home and police are still looking for whoever did this.  The Lago Vista Police Department is enlisting the help of the Texas Rangers in hopes of finding the people who forced their way into the victim's home in the middle of the night.

22008 Beacon Point Cove is one of the more exclusive addresses in Lago Vista.

This $3.4 million dollar, 4 bedroom,  8,000 square foot mansion on Lake Travis is home to 68 year old William Riley and 58 year old Dana Tull.

A neighbor told us the couple is married and both of them are home builders and developers.

"Both of them are real nice folks. He's helped me out when I was in distress one time on the lake so there's no complaints about the guy.  The guy is all upstanding and a good guy," said neighbor Tommy Risher.

According to Lago Vista police the couple got a rude awakening around 4:30 Thursday morning when more than one person forced their way inside while the couple was sleeping.  It's believed the motivation was robbery.  Items were taken but police aren't going into detail.

"I've never heard of anything like that happening but I mean you hear about it in Austin all the time on the news so why not here?" said Doug Baker, who's parents live in Lago Vista.

Both Dana Tull and William Riley were physically attacked, Tull has minor injuries.

KVUE has also been told that Mr. Riley was attacked with a blunt object and has broken bones, severe lacerations and was slipping in and out of consciousness.

Neighbors are less concerned about their own safety and, "I'm more concerned about the safety of the folks that live here and make sure that they're alright, said Risher.

An unnamed source is telling KVUE that Mr. Riley is in the hospital but authorities aren't saying which one because he's in protective custody out of fear for his safety.

His condition is unknown and we have don't have any details about the people police are looking for.
