AUSTIN -- Arson investigators have been flooded with tips on a house fire that injured seven people.

The fire started Monday morning at 5:15 at a home on 14th Street in East Austin. Investigators say it started in the living room.

Seven people had to go to the hospital; four are being treated at out-of-town burn units.

Fire investigators have ruled out several accidental causes including electrical problems.

Neighbors tell investigators that a man who had several disagreements with the family set the fire. Investigators are following up those leads and have not ruled out arson.

"There's a lot of people pointing to one specific person, and I've seen some of the interviews where they say they know exactly who did this, and that's one of the things we are following up. There's a lot of activity in that neighborhood that we are having to follow up on," Austin Fire Department Captain Andy Reardon said.

Investigators say the neighborhood is a high-crime area. Austin police have been called out to the home a dozen times since 2010.
