AUSTIN -- Nearly one year ago, Central Texans learned the area would be getting its first In-N-Out Burger in Round Rock.
Now, the California-based burger chain has plans to make its Austin fans very happy. The company applied for a building permit April 17 for a location along I-35 near Airport Boulevard.
In-N-Out Burger has developed a cult following mostly on the West Coast and has recently expanded east into Texas and Utah, opening its first restaurant in Texas in 2011, KVUE's news partner the Austin American-Statesman reports.
According to the Statesman, an opening date for the Round Rock location has not yet been announced.
