FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas -- A controlled burn got out of control and burned down a nearby house.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, the fire was started on Round Top Road near Jaster Road just before 4 p.m. on Monday.
Fire officials say it was a controlled burn, but something went wrong, and the flames spread to a nearby house. The house was a total loss.
There were no reported injuries. The fire is under investigation.
