A deadly home invasion in Travis County remains under investigation. It happened in Northwest Travis County Friday night near Cedar Ridge and Spanish Oak Trail, north of Jonestown.
A woman called 911 saying a man broke into her home and was fighting with her husband. The suspected burglar, Ryan Glen Bradford, was shot by the husband. He died at the hospital.
Neighbors say this sort of crime is rare for a community that is normally quiet.
"We were quite concerned. In fact, we walked down and asked the Sheriff, 'Are we in danger?'" said Joan Yankie who heard the shooting. "Children were watching and they were handcuffing people. People were running. So as people in the neighborhood we wanted to make sure we were safe and secure, and the Sheriff's Department assured us that we were."
Travis County investigators say they do not believe any criminal charges will result in this case.
