AUSTIN -- Central Texas has hundreds of nonprofits. Thanks to the Amplify Austin campaign, you have a fun, easy way to help raise money for your favorite charity.

Amplify Austin is a unique, online giving event established by I Live Here, I Give Here. The event began last year with a goal to raise $1 million for local nonprofits in just 24 hours. That goal was quickly surpassed, putting the final tally of donations at nearly $2.8 million.

The goal for this year's campaign is to raise $4 million; more than 500 nonprofit organizations are participating. The 24-hour blitz begins at 6 p.m. March 20, 2014.
