BUDA, Texas -- Victims of the Halloween floods living in Hays County will have an opportunity to visit with various aid organizations to assess their needs on Tuesday.

The aid event will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Barton Junior High School at 4950 Jack C. Hays Trail (FM 2270) in Buda.

Relief organizations such as the Red Cross, Hays County Food Bank, United Methodist Church Disaster Response, Baptist Ministries Disaster Relief and others will be present at the event to explain what types of assistance they can offer.

"Victims will be able to visit with the different agencies at one time and in one place to find out what assistance is available for their individual situation," said Hays County Emergency Management Coordinator Kharley Smith. "We think it will be much easier than trying to email or call individual agencies."

For a contact list of organizations, go here. The list will also be available at Hays County precinct offices, the courthouse and the government center.
