RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have captured 24-year-old Johnathan Rene Komjati, a suspect in a Hays County arson, in Richmond, Va.
Authorities have been searching for Komjati since police said he didn't show up at a court appearance on Nov. 25, 2013. Komjati was set to appear in court in relation to an arson charge. Police said Komjati is accused of burning down a Hays County home in a possible insurance fraud attempt.
Komjati's capture came after the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force launched an investigation in December following his failure to appear in court. The investigation determined that Komjati had fled to Virginia, where Richmond task force officers helped Texas law enforcement find Komjati.
Neither Komjati nor any law enforcement officers were injured in the capture, according to U.S. Marshal Robert R. Almonte.
Komjati will remain in the Pamunkey Regional Jail in Ashland, Va. pending transport to Hays County.
