LEANDER, Texas -- HEB is canceling its plans to build a new store in Leander near FM 2243 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard. This is located northeast of Highway 183-A, which is still open land.
The planned development met heavy opposition from some residents due to environmental and traffic concerns.
A company spokesman says the land does not meet the planning needs and expectations for a store and it will look at other options.
