Family members raced to the post on word of the mass shooting that killed 12 people and injured 31 others at Ft. Hood Thursday afternoon.
The post was locked down, and with that came some anxious moments for some, like Cynthia Wood.
She was texting her husband who's deployed in Iraq and waiting for the daycare center on the post to give the all clear so she could pick up their nearly 3-year-old son.
