A former Austin police officer has been sentenced to four years probation.
The incident happened four years ago while the officer was still on the force.
Scott Lando was convicted of delivery of a controlled substance last month. It involved him giving cocaine and money to prostitutes and their boyfriends. Witnesses say it happened while Lando patrolled a high-crime area in North Austin.
He still faces other charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and prostitution.
Lando was dismissed from APD in 2008.
