AUSTIN -- Children and families affected by the recent floods will get a second chance to celebrate Halloween.

Austin police, the Police Activities League and Cops for Charities are hosting a trick-or-treat event at the Onion Creek soccer fields on East William Cannon Drive.

The event is 4:30 to 6:30 Friday. Kids who missed out on Halloween will get a chance to wear their costumes. There will be soccer games, free hot dogs, refreshments and medals for participants.
