AUSTIN -- A fire at 2200 Garden Street, south of Cesar Chavez near the Metz Elementary School was extinguished Thursday.
AFD said the call came in at 8:54 p.m. The fire was confined to one room of duplex.
One person was transported for evaluation for smoke inhalation.
