AUSTIN --  All of the downtown action is taking place at the Circuit of the America's Austin Fan Fest.

Final touches are being put on concert stages and booths because Friday night the streets will be filled with F1 fans.

Fan Fest offers an alternative to the race with concerts, DJ's and dance performances. There are also interactive booths to enjoy, including the Mobil 1 race simulator.

Crews started the downtown conversion Wednesday and have been working on it around the clock to get everything ready.

"Really exciting. Really exciting. I'm really excited I've been working on this for nine months and it's going to be cool for everybody," COTA Event Coordinator Ridge Rees said.

Stages and booths are expected to be in place by Friday afternoon. Inspectors will then come out to see if they are safe.

The first concert kicks off at 6 p.m., and the concerts and parties will continue Saturday and Sunday. For more information on performances click here.
