There's been a lot of speculation about Mack Brown's job security as head coach of  University of Texas, as the program struggles to regain it's status among the college football elite. Amid that speculation, U-T President Bill Powers spoke out, saying he supports Brown.

Prior to Saturday's Ole Miss game, die hard Texas fans said they believed the game was the make or break for the coach.

While hosting a tail gate and smoking ribs, Joe Carlyle said, "Today's game matters more for the future of Mac Brown than any other game he's played up until now."  He said, " The real problem may actually start at the top."

Another fan at another tailgate event, Erich Habermehl, said, "I know Ole Miss is a good team, but Texas should beat them."

When Euell Campbell was asked what he'd say if the Longhorns don't win, he responded, "It might b e time for a change. Who knows."

And if you win?

"Let's go on and get another win."
