AUSTIN -- Police have released a sketch of a suspect in the death of an East Austin man, and his family is pleading for information leading to his killer.
Robert Reyna, 36, was found with a gunshot wound on Gonzalez Street near 7th Street on July 19 around 1 a.m. He was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge where he was pronounced dead. It was his birthday.
His family stood with Austin police detectives on Thursday, July 25 to plead for information about his killer.
"He loved his children. He was a family man. No 14-year-old should have to bury their father. Please anyone with information, come forward," Jennifer Moreno, Reyna's ex-wife said.
Witnesses describe the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 20s, believed to be about 5'7". He was believed to be driving a dark colored SUV.
