CENTER POINT -- KVUE News has learned that the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Kerr County Sheriff's Department are investigating at least two complaints of sexual abuse at the Starlite Recovery Center in Center Point.

The 55-acre facility in the Hill Country, about an hour-and-a-half from Austin,  is a rehab facility for adults and juveniles addicted to drugs and or alcohol.

The sex abuse allegations first surfaced about a week ago.

A spokesperson for the TDSHS said Monday that investigators were out at the Hill Country rehab facility last week trying to gather details regarding the allegations; however, no more details were available.

One source close to the case said that at least one of the alleged victims is a male juvenile patient at the Starlite Recovery Center.

A computer search on the TDSHS website found that the Starlite Recovery Center received an administrative penalty from the state in 2000.  No specifics were available.
