The Dripping Springs superintendent is retiring after the fall semester.
Dr. Mard Herrick has led the district since July 2006. He has been involved in education for almost 36 years and previously served as superintendent for San Antonio Southside and Palestine.
There is no word yet on the search for a replacement or whether the district will appoint an interim superintendent when Dr. Herrick leaves.
