The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a double fatal accident in Bastrop County.
It happened just after 6 a.m. Friday morning on Highway 304.
A DPS spokesperson says 38-year-old Ronnie Tumlinson was driving northbound when his pickup truck crossed the center stripe, hitting the car of 60-year-old Edna Douglas who was traveling southbound.
Both drivers died at the scene. An investigation is still underway to determine what caused Tumlinson to cross the middle lane.
