AUSTIN -- A bicyclist was seriously injured after colliding with an SUV in West Travis County.
According to Travis County Sheriff's Office spokesman Roger Wade, deputies received the call of an auto-cyclist collision at 12:13 p.m. in the 10900 block of Bee Cave Road, near Senna Hills Drive.
EMS said a 70-year-old cyclist was traveling eastbound when he failed to yield and tried to cross all the lanes of traffic to get to the turn lane. That cyclist ended up colliding with an SUV. EMS said the cyclist was unconscious when they arrived.
The victim was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with life-threatening injuries.
Wade says no charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the SUV.
