While many are staying inside to escape the bone chilling weather, the bitterly cold temperatures aren't keeping some Austinites from heading outdoors.
It wasn't hard to find the frozen food section at the Austin Farmers Market downtown -- where cold fish and chilled wine were among the offerings.
Close to a dozen venders decided not to brave the cold weather this market day -- but others say they couldn't let their produce go to waste.
"We've got vegetables to sell, that's why we're here," vender Brent Johnson said.
And some made sure they could keep the cold temeratures at bay. "We got a heater right back here, that's our magic bullet," said Rick Naber of Flat Creek Estate Winery.
While the crowd was much smaller than usual, die-hard shoppers say they were determined to bundle up and buy their fresh fruits and vegetables.
