AUSTIN -- About a third of the Chase branches nationwide and in Austin will be open Dec. 22. They are doing this because of the security breach at Target, which left 40 million customers at risk.
Target says the breach affected debit and credit cards used from Nov. 27th to Dec. 15th.
In response, Chase bank is temporarily limiting cash and purchases for some customers. To help people access their money, Chase opened some branches from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday even though they're normally closed on Sunday.
Chase advises everyone to monitor their accounts for unusual activity.
Customers can check the Chase Branch Locator on chase.com to see which ones branch near them.
